Health and Safety Improvements

We have intensified our cleaning schedules to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. For the protection of all, patients and staff are required to wear a face mask at all times while inside our facilities, and new safety barriers have been installed. We want our patients to be able to visit our locations and know that they are safe.

For appointments that are to be had in-person, patients will notice new and improved health and safety features within our health centers.

During this time we are striving to enhance the health and safety of our patients and staff. In each of our locations you will see:

  • All individuals inside our facilities (patients and staff) are required to be wearing a face covering.

  • Additional hand sanitizing stations.

  • Countertop shield barriers implemented in face-to-face contact with our staff for safety purposes.

  • All clinic sites have intensified their cleaning throughout the day, after each visit, high touch surfaces, and at the end of each day. 

Yes, for the protection of our patients and staff everyone entering our facility is required to wear a face covering. 

To limit the spread of germs within our locations, CHSI has adopted updated cleaning protocols that align with the CDC recommendations .

Along with our regular and thorough nightly cleaning, our medical staff along with our cleaning crew are regularly disinfecting rooms, surfaces, objects , and medical equipment throughout the day and at the end of every visit to ensure everyone’s health and safety. 

Appointments

Existing patients and new patients are encouraged to call ahead and schedule their appointment. Walk-Ins are welcome based on availability.

Medical and Behavioral Health Appointments may be done in-person, over the phone, or through video.

We encourage all patients to complete any needed registration a day prior to their appointment over the phone.

  • If you are not able to register via telephone the day prior to your appointment or if you need any assistance, we encourage you to arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the registration process. 

In-person visits are currently available for all services.

Telehealth is available for medical, pediatric, women’s health, and behavioral health appointments.

Telehealth includes telephone and video visits.

We encourage our patients to use our telehealth feature whenever possible. We ask that patients are near their phone at least 10 minutes before the appointments to check in.

How Do Telephone Visits Work?

1. You will be called by our clinic support staff at the time of your appointment.

2. Once we confirm it is you, the call will be transferred to a medical assistant to begin your appointment.

3. After our medical assistant has done an initial patient interview, the call will be transferred to the doctor assigned to you.

4. After your phone call with your doctor, you will be transferred back to a medical assistant to check you out and schedule any follow up appointments, as necessary.

How Do Video Visits Work?

1. You will be called by our clinic support staff at the time of your appointment. This will be done via telephone to confirm and update all information necessary and confirm your identity.

2. Once we confirm it is you, the call will be transferred to a medical assistant to begin your appointment. This step will continue via telephone.

4. After our medical assistant has done an initial patient interview, the provider will contact you via the video platforms available. (Doxy. Me, Goggle Duo, or FaceTime)

6. After your video call with your doctor, you will be contacted via telephone by the medical assistant to be checked out and to schedule your next appointment.

We welcome walk-in appointments, however extended wait times may exist. All patients are encouraged to call ahead and schedule an appointment. Most health centers will be able to offer same-day appointments.

Dental Care

All Dental Care services are available at this time. If you are experiencing any pain, trauma, discomfort or infection please visit any of our dental locations.

All our health centers follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), the California Dental Association (CDA), local Public Health Departments and the Occupational Safety, Administration (OSHA).

We follow their guidance and stay up-to-date on any new rulings that may be issued to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and meet all recommendations.

Our health centers work hard to ensure we provide you with quality Dental care in the safest possible manner.

COVID-19 Testing

Rapid COVID-19 testing is available for CHSI patients at all of our locations. For more information, please click here to visit our testing web page.

  • Testing is available to CHSI patients ONLY.

  • Individuals that are insured or not insured are able to receive the test

  • Test results available within 15 minutes.
