Over the last several days, news have emerged that a similarly named hospital chain, Community Health Systems (CHS), based out of Tennessee, who operates some 85 hospital medical centers, has engaged in lawsuits directed towards their patients for unpaid medical bills.
We want to clarify to our patients and community that our California-based Community Health Center is unaffiliated with the Tennessee-based hospital chain. Our organization, Community Health Systems, Inc., is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), not-for-profit serving the counties of San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego.
Our Community Health Centers stand proud to serve all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay.
